Congratulations to Our Buyers

As another year begins, we want to take a moment and reflect on the success animals purchased from us have had in their new herds during the 2018 show season.

Some highlights include:

K&M Tequila Galalee-ET, E-93%, earned Reserve Junior All American 4-year-old laurels for Kilgus Dairy, IL;

Meadowridge Fizz Sparkle-ET was 1^st Winter Yearling and Junior Champion at the International Jersey Show and 1^st Winter Yearling and Junior Champion at the International Junior Jersey Show for Cole Kruse and Gene Henderson, IA;

Wildweed Primero Lightning placed 1^st Fall Yearling in the International Jersey Show and 1^st Fall Yearling and Reserve Junior Champion in the International Junior Jersey Show for Katie Ledvica and Michael Moede. She is now owned by Buster Goff, NM;

Ratliff Showdown Volcano-ET was 2^nd Intermediate Calf at the International Jersey Show and 4^th Intermediate Calf at the All American Show for the CKK Syndicate, WI.

Ron and Christy Ratliff Named AJCA Master Breeder

We are thrilled to have earned the highest laurel a Registered Jersey breeder can receive — the AJCA Master Breeder Award. We will be honored at a banquet held during the AJCA-NAJ Annual Meetings in Canton, Ohio, in June. Thank you to all who extended their congratulations. We are truly humbled to be included in this prestigious group, never dreaming we’d be receiving this award 30 years ago, when we got our first Registered Jersey.

Appraisal Highlights

We are pleased with the results from our recent herd appraisal in January. Ratliff Action Angel, Ratliff Action Addie-ET, Ratliff Tequila Shotglass-ET and Family Hill Minister Nora were raised to Excellent-94%. The herd now includes 29 Excellent and 28 Very Good cows (none lower) and has an average of 89.6%.
